Clarington Orioles Finalists at London Peewee Tournament
The Clarington Orioles Peewee squad competed in the London
Peewee Tournament the weekend of June 11-13. The Orioles won their first contest
21-1 over St. Thomas.
Clarington followed their tournament opening win by defeating Niagra Falls
4-1. Kevin Sharp pitched a no hitter striking out 11 batters.
The Orioles went on to drop two games in a row losing 10-9 to Chatham and
10-6 to Simcoe.
Despite the losses Clarington made the consolation finals against Southwest
London. The Orioles found themselves down 15-4 but battled back to lose by
one, the final 16-15.
The Orioles bats were lead by Cam Arrujo Black hitting .750 for the tournament.
Devin Fisher hit .500 and Justin Vachon and Tyson Rose both batted .467.
