Scores: Whitby 12 Burlington 0, Bolton 4 Whitby 2, Whitby 10 Royal York 4, Semi-Final Whitby 3 Niagara Falls 1, Championship Whitby 9 Bolton 2. June 12- Red Sox win Bolton Tournament: The Pickering Red Sox Rookie Team went 5-0 to win the Bolton Tournament on the weekend of June 7-8. After defeating the Vaughan Vikings 17-2 in the semi finals, the tournament win was capped off with a 24-7 win over Bolton in the Championship game. June 12- Port Hope hosting Coaching Clinic: The EOBA will be running another Coach's clinic on June 22 in Port Hope. This will be the last EOBA clinic being run. Please note that the costs are $50.00 payable at the door to Christine Robinson. Coaches that need this must have completed their on line registration first....prior to registering for this clinic. June 11- Spartans win London Badger Tournament: The Ajax Spartan Bantam squad brought home the championship in London. Despite losing their first three contests (Woodslie Orioles 12-3, London Badgers 8-2, and Hamilton Cardinals 6-1) Ajax bounced back to win the final three games (Aurora Jays 16-6, Semi-final Burlington Bulls 12-3, Final Woodslie Orioles 10-0). June 2- Scores from the weekend: In the Midget division the Whitby t4 team defeated the Brockville Bunnies 5-4 on Saturday. On Sunday the Whitby t4 Chiefs were in Kingston taking on the Braves. In a tight contest the Braves won 4-3 in the bottom of the 9th. In other Midget action the Port Hope River Rats split a double header with the Whitby t3 Chiefs; Chiefs winning game one 5-1 and dropping the second game 14-4. In Bantam the Kingston Thunder swept both ends of a twin bill over the Whitby Chiefs 14-3 and 12-1. In Mosquito action the Whitby Chiefs minor squad took both games from the Kingston Thunder by scores of 10-7 and 14-5. Also in Mosquito the Ajax t1 Spartans defeated the Pickering Red Sox 13-2. May 11 - Midget Season Begins: The Oshawa Legionaires defeated the Ajax t2 Spartans 4-2 to kick off the Midget season. May 9 - Bantam Season Begins: The first regular season bantam division game saw the Ajax t2 Spartans defeat the Whitby Chiefs minor club13-7. The following night the Ajax t2 Spartans again were in action dropping the Clarington Orioles 9-7. May 7 - Regular Season Begins: The first regular season game was played on Tuesday.
